Hi Beryl I have had major problems with my eyes from the time I was 18 years old following National Service which I did in 1988. In total I have had close to 18 eye operations, both left and right, I am now 53 years old. In 2019 I was admitted to a hospital in the Northern Cape as I suffered damage to my left eye and following four surgeries and spending 45 days in hospital lost my eye, following an evisceration operation. It has been three years and a few months following my operation and was helped by other oculists who tried their utmost to help me. Due to the change of my socket I needed to get a new prosthesis. By the grace of God I was accepted as a Military Veteran and qualified for medical assistance through the State and was referred to Beryl Carvalho. From the time that I met Beryl and her team I was made to feel very welcome and their professional approach was nothing but that compared to international standards. As a patient we are so eager to get our prosthetic eye and expect this to be done the day that we walk in there. This is not so and if there is anything that I can share with other people that have lost an eye, please be patient. The amount of time that Beryl and her team spend making your eye is of paramount importance to to the final outcome of a perfect fit. Be patient and walk the walk with her. The care that Beryl puts into making an eye is so important and nothing can be rushed, the curing process of making an eye prosthesis is of paramount importance. Beryl, you have given me a new lease on life, improved my confidence and made me feel whole again. The uncomfortable socket that I had is a thing of the past. Once again I would like to thank you for the passion that you have for your work and most of all your caring attitude for your patients. May God Bless you and your business abundantly. To you Vivienne, thanks for being so reliable with regards to confirming appointments and being Beryl's right hand. Thank you and God Bless you guys.

This is just a quick message to say thank you so very much for everything. There are no words to express my gratitude for everything. My outlook on life has completely changed since I had the eye done and my self confidence is through the roof. The only regret I now have is that I waited so long to have the eye done.

One of the worst days of my life was the day I went blind, but one of the best was definitely the day I got my confidence back

Dear Beryl,

I am writing to thank you for taking the time and patience to help me with my eye. Previously I had prosthetic eye that had been donated to me but not specifically made for me and although I was very grateful it gave me many problems with continued infections and it was sometimes painful.

I was then lucky to again to receive help from Beryl at Eyes Alive and they were kind enough to look at my eye and measure me to fit a prosthetic eye that was just for me. It has made me feel so different and now I can walk into a room or any situation and feel proud rather than embarrassed.

Hi Guys

My old eye made me photo negative, everytime I saw a camera I'd run away. Because of the size and appearance of my old fart eye. \ The pictures I took, always looked bad. And it makes me feel so glad about the new one, it really is a new me. I can now take a zillion pictures!!!!!!!

Thanks to Beryl she is a great and wonderful specialist.

She makes a person laugh and dance, hey guys make use of 'Eyes Alive', it really is working, it worked for me. It will work for you.
